Today we’re going to touch on the luxury side of things, and take a look at some of the premium quality storage containers being offered in the industry today. These top shelf products go light years beyond that dusty old film canister you’ve got floating somewhere around your bedroom in both their form and function. Let’s take a closer look.
First up, is the CVault. Now these enclosures really are at the top end of this category, with their 18/10 stainless-steel shell, and four way clamps that really work to seal out the air completely. Of course no light is going to penetrate the solid steel either, but the real centerpiece to the CVault is the Boveda Humidipack that comes with each unit.
This will make sure to keep the relative humidity at a steady 62 degrees Fahrenheit, which most experts agree is the ideal level to store organic material. The CVault comes in 5 sizes which range all the way from small to the very ample 4 liter unit.
Next up on our list is the very futuristic TightVac. It seems every model that made this elite list has some unique and novel edge to their presentation, and the TightVac doesn’t disappoint with its airless vacuum technology.
With just a push of the button on the lid of every TightVac, you will exit all the oxygen through a one-way channel which will render your enclosed material in a virtual vacuum, and thusly exponentially extend the shelf life of just about any organic item you so choose to place therein.
TightVacs come in both translucent and opaque heavy-duty plastic containers, and are available in a gamut of sizes starting with as small as a half-ounce of storage capacity. It bears mentioning that the TightVac definitely tops our list when it comes to offering a truly smell-proof experience.
We’re going to switch gears a little bit now, but not in terms of quality. For the discriminating consumer who’s worried less about long-term storage and more about short-term functionality, may we suggest the luxurious world of pollen sifting boxes.
These boxes are crafted of premium quality wood and elegantly constructed with artisan wood locks or unassumingly mounted magnetic pieces that gently secure and release your lid and components with a gracious ease.
Besides the large and very accommodating storage space any one of these boxes will afford its lucky owner, the alternate function of a sifting box is to separate the concentrated pollen from your stored material by using no more than the normal kinetic movement of the material inside.
Then there is a very fine wire or nylon mesh screen to filter only the smallest and therefore most potent of particles onto the glass collection plate below. Whether you have an Exotic Zombie, Wildflower or even a Ryot brand sifting box, the quality is uncompromising, and the sentiment is always satisfying when you behold their pristine beauty.
Finally, we finish with a real slick offering. Of course I’m referring to the premium Oil Slick Slick Balls that diverge a bit from our central theme of dried organic material storage, and expand into the world of oils and concentrates.
That’s not to say of course you can’t toss your herbs in a slick ball, because no one’s going to stop you, least of all me. The rounded, inner dish design of a slick ball is definitely ideally suited for the storage of your waxy and often-times stubborn concentrates, as it has no corners to collect errant material.
And with its medical grade silicone having a rubber ball like consistency, you just give a slight squeeze to the shell, and the principle material will easily release from the warping surface it was trying in vain to stay fastened to.
The slick balls come in packs of four and measure 1.25” in diameter, or you can grab a larger single ball which is 2.75” across and has a monstrous 14 gram capacity. There are also “Slick Stacks” available which are rounded stackable containers that come in packs of three and measure 1.75” from end to end. For more bounce to the ounce, Oil Slick has definitely got you covered.
So there you have it my dear lads and lasses, the very best in build and performance across the storage container universe. They are quite a colorful lot, each with their own unique personalities and penchants, but the one similarity they all collectively share, is that quality is put first, and because of this, they all happen to work exceptionally well, no gimmicks needed.
A toast to our cream of the crop!
